Return Policy

To protect the rights of both buyers and sellers, the Global Sources platform hereby establishes the following return policy, which applies to all transactions completed through the platform.

1. Basic Return Conditions

  • Applies to all completed transactions on the Global Sources platform.
  • Return requests must be submitted within 7 business days after receipt of the goods.
  • Order number, product photos, and a description of the issue must be provided.
  • Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, with all accessories included.
  • Returns must be processed through the platform system and assigned an authorization number.
  • All returns must include the original invoice or proof of purchase.

2. Eligible Return Cases

  • Product significantly differs from its description.
  • Quality defects or functional issues.
  • Wrong item or incorrect quantity shipped by the seller.
  • Damage during transit, with valid proof.
  • Seller fails to provide brand authorization documents (when promised).
  • Severe delivery delay affecting use or resale.

3. Non-Returnable Cases

  • Custom or personalized items, unless there is a quality defect.
  • Items that have been used or are missing original packaging or accessories.
  • Virtual products or digital services.
  • Buyer errors or wrong orders without any product defect.
  • Requests submitted after the 7 business day window.
  • Items returned without platform authorization.

4. Responsibilities & Costs

  • If the return is due to seller fault, the seller covers return and exchange shipping costs.
  • If the return is due to buyer fault, the buyer bears the shipping costs.
  • Import duties or customs clearance failures are borne by the responsible party.
  • The platform is not responsible for currency exchange losses incurred by returns.
  • Returns due to incorrect address are at the buyer’s expense.

5. Process & Timeframes

  • The platform will respond to return requests within 3 business days.
  • Sellers must complete processing within 7 business days after return confirmation.
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 7–14 business days after approval.
  • Exchanges depend on seller confirmation of stock availability and delivery dates.
  • If the buyer fails to ship the return in time, the platform may consider the request abandoned.

6. Disputes & Appeals

  • The platform will mediate disputes and has the final right of interpretation.
  • Buyers and sellers are encouraged to communicate and resolve issues amicably.
  • The platform may request additional documentation as needed.
  • Accounts engaging in malicious return behavior may face restrictions.

7. Supplementary Provisions

  • This return policy will be updated in real time to reflect platform rule changes.
  • The platform reserves the final right of interpretation of this policy.
